I don't think E4300s report temp correctly- AND MY EVIDENCE!

I'll make this simple.
I now own a new E4300 and E6320.
I bought the E6320 because the temps on the E4300 were SO high.
Lots of folks saying that E4300 are put together with thermal grease and not soldered- could be true, but I'm not going to cut mine open to find out.
My E4300 idled about 40C and loaded to 68C+ (damn, that really sucks)
TAT reported different core temps than speedfan. I read somewhere that speedfan needed to be adjusted by about 15C...that's what I saw- speedfan was about 15C lower than TAT, so I adjusted it. Ah, that's better...now speedfan and TAT agree.
Coretemp had the right temp, and it showed t-junction as 100C. That can't be right...more googling...well it looks like coretemp uses the t-junction to report the point where the processor starts to thermally-throttle. Okay, well hopefully I'll never see a core temp of 100C!
I worked on my E4300, but quickly realized without more vcore I wasn't going above about 2.8 and with the temps at load already in the high 60's I really didn't have anymore headroom. By the way, this E4300 could do 2.4GHz while undervolted to 1.175 loaded!

Enter, my new E6320. This guy idled under 30C...more like 25C, wow! Same heatsink, same EVERYTHING. Full load went up to 45C stock. Wow, that's biatchin'. But, now speedfan shows me running hot? Oh, yeah, I had put that +15C adjustment in from the E4300...remove that and now it looks good.
Oh, but coretemp shows the t-junction temp at 85 degrees? Does that mean it starts to temperature throttle at 85C, but my E4300 temperature throttles at 100C? Anyway, with these low temps and all this headroom I should set new records....2.8 fairly stable, 2.9, 3.0 unstable, unstable I'm banging my voltage up, up, up trying to get stable....when it finally occurs to me:

I don't know if this chip REALLY is any cooler!
I don't know if I believe these temp monitors at all!
I don't know if the E4300 actually runs hot, or if it's "calibrated" differently.
Why would t-junction be 100C for E4300 and 85C for E6320?
I submit to you that something is wrong, and we don't know as much as we think we do! I will admit this: the E4300 seems to have a far greater RANGE between IDLE and LOAD than the E6320.

In my mind, someone (sorry, not me) needs to verify these temps by knocking on the temperature throttle "door". Only then would we know that the temps reported are what they appear.

Believe what TAT says. TAT is made by Intel for the C2D(s).

With the E4300, what paste did you use? Too much thermal paste is bad. And you didn't mention that you remounted the heat sink.

With me E6400 @ 3.150 (415x7) I can stable at 1.25 vcore. 40C and 51C Window SMP load.
Keep your load temps under 60C. I limit myself to 55C.

Yes, I read this.
It doesn't address what I'm saying about "t-junction" values being different in coretemp.

if u use coretemp version .95 (shows tjunction for me, as TAT) i read somewhere that can show bad results, try also version .94 (works better for me) to see if you notice a change...
