Power Supply for New Rig

Thread Starter
Hey, all. First time poster, long time reader here.

I'm about to order parts for my new rig within the next week or so. I'm trying to decide between a OCZ GameXstream 600W PSU and a Corsair 520HX 520W PSU. I'm really liking the Corsair, though I've heard some good things about both PSU's. The OCZ also appears to go well with my desired case (TT Armor). For now, I have no plans of going SLI in the near future, but I do plan on OC'ing my CPU (E6600) and maybe attempting to increase clock / mem speeds on the GPU (8800 GTS). Any recommendations on which of these 2 PSU's (or any other one for that matter) to get?

first off ,welcome to the forum!!!

for a few extra bucks you can get some of the highest quality psu's out there. i would go with a pc power and cooling 610watt silencer or a silverstone olympia 650. they are both very high quality and can handle basically any system.

can't say about the Corsair but I have the OCZ in my Armor and works great.. Never had voltage fluctuations or nothing.

Both are very good PSUs. The Corsair (made by Seasonic) is a very stable PSU and should meet your needs. The OCZ GXS is also a stable (but not as stable as the Corsair) and has a bit more power for the future. Again both are good PSUs.
Once again...
