So you're saying Intel should wait for them to catch up? AMD's problems are self made.

I'll keep buying ONLY Intel, as I've been doing it, I'm extremely proud to say that I have not and will not ever buy AMD. So, Intel does have a new tech for the 32nm, just in case you didn't know. And nm does matter, because it yields better power consumption and in the case of 32nm, it will bring new tech to Intel.
...

Intel has been failed for o so long now. Up until c2d. Netburst was just an utter failure but they supplied and for some reason so many people went Intel.
Your flawed. AMD K8 COMPETES with Intel's c2d stock vs stock AMD beats basically all of their chips.

Sure you can OC the intel but how many people do? Not to much. Intel just sells so much because they have their name out. Ad's and partnerships with major OEM's. Can't blame 'em they are smart in marketing. AMD though I have NEVER seen an FX-62 commercial. EVER!

AMD's barcelona will probably send Intel back to their netburst days. They took 3 YEARS. THREE YEARS to come back speed vs speed. Intel sucked and has always sucked. They are pretty good now I must say but AMD has been a leader for so long. It's a market.

I hope, JUST for you AMD goes out and you'll see those greedy Intel people crank up prices, basically slow r&d by 90% and yeah. Enjoy. No to mention if AMD does go out Intel will be a monopoly for the desktop market much like Microsoft is a monopoly in the OS market.

Netburst was all about clock speed because of its long pipelines, and a Pentium D spanked every X2 and both overclocked were pretty much the same, here, learn some facts: OVERCLOCKING “PRESLERâ€.....I didn't see the need to go green.

In whose dreams? C2Ds are faster and not only me knows it but everyone. Compete? Nah, only in dreams and overclock? We won't even go there.

Lots of people do, otherwise this site would be called: stockclock.net. I overclocked both of my Intel processors, my Pentium D from 3.40ghz to 4.51ghz and my E6600.

AMD doesn't make commercials because they cost money and that cost will be pass on to you, and therefore the cost of their product will just go higher and will you buy overpriced junk? I don't think so, though one might.
BTW, in the 2005 Tour De Fance in OLN, AMD had ONE commercial, yet, it was follwed by 50 from IBM/Intel.....

Pray Barcelona's quad core mid-end cost $266 but if history hasn't taught you anything? AMD has never released a CPU no costing less than $500 for the low-end. So say your prayers.

Intel may have been slow but their Netburst tech pay itself over at least 50 times, and AMD is now struggling, so which one do you think sucked? Intel has always been better for overclockers, let me remind everyone: http://www.overclockers.com.au/artic...?id=452447&P=4

Either way, Microsoft, it's the only way to go. I've always bought Intel and always will, never bought Any Mediocre Device nor I ever will.

BTW, did you know that If it wasn't for Intel, DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 would have never seen the light? Same goes for the AGP bus, 2, 4 and 8, Now PCI-Express and soon PCI-Express 2.0 and guess what else, SSE........those are techs that Intel and a few other companies developed w/o the help of AMD because they were too busy developing the usless IMC and HTT which doesn't bring anything to the computing tech table, only for their help........
So who got the slow R&D by 90%?

I'd say, let's google and think before you speak.

I like AMD and want them around, it's their cheer-leading squad that's annoying.
I agree that their cheer leading squad is annoying. I hate the sap that pays 2000$ for a new processor cause it has AMD on it.

As for Intel has commercials yet prices low so that's not excuse for AMD to put itself in a hole. You have to spend money to make it. Almost anyone that just likes computers knows Intel but AMD what?

As for netburst yes, it sucked. It wasn't very good.. At all especially compared to AMD's FX series.

The majority of the "world" buys pre-built OEM that has OC disabled.

The only c2d to beat the FX-62 stock vs stock was the e6600. Everything else lost. Although yes the e66 is good.

I hope AMD has their next gameplan set and will offer quailty cpus for ok prices. How much do you think Penyrn is going to be? c2q was in the thousands and now still half a grand.

Is this how things were when P4 came out, and AMD was still behind? Anyone been in the game long enough to remember?

Anyone in their right mind would get the E4300. Faster CPU and lower price.
