I don't see anything good from AMD yet...

And by July 22, the competing AMD chips won't be out yet. Only Barcelona will be out, and that's squared against the Xeons.

Netburst never sucked. People thinks that Netburst is/was Prescotts but one part that most if not all, When the first Pentium 4s came out, the Willamette, they were Neburst and they were better and faster than the Athlon XPs 266fsb and 333fsb.

Then of course, Athlon XPs with a 400fsb finally came out and by then Pentium 4 Northwoods came out and guess what? They were better than Athlon XPs, yet both of those Pentium 4 processors were Netburst.

It wasn't till AMD along with the help of several other companies and IBM that came out with a "new" architecture which helped AMD for the very first time ever to be better than Intel's (3 years while Intel had been crushing them for all of those previous years, since the 80s) Netburst technology and even at so, Northwood processors were still good.

It's only when Intel decided to go from 20 to 31 stage pipeline that the benchmarks started to get slower but for those of us that use and know what Netburst was all about it? It was meant for high clock, nearing 4.0ghz in order to compete with K8s. We all know that and the benchmarks prove it: http://www.overclockers.com.au/artic...?id=452447&P=4

A Netburst CPU (a.k.a. Precott and Preslers) will certainly be just as good as any K8. Just look at the charts in that link and also I've seen it myself when I overclocked my 650, 660, Celeron D 336 and Pentium D 945.

In that order.

PaRaDoX; Didn't amd do that when the C2Ds came out, what? Or is people still paying $350 for an X2 3800+ still? LOL!

I can't wait to see all of us with Q6600s. $266 for Quad-Cores and capable of overclock them to at least 3.0ghz? Nice!

You have to remind me about that one...because I don't know what the heck you're talking about there...and I am a Southpark freak; have to get my fix every day

Also, July 22 = intel for me haha

Yeah...I was going to buy it like a week ago...but decided to wait a little bit...now they do this ha-ha. Wish Intel had a step-up program

Intel just cares about themselves, that's why they're cutting the prices so ridiculously low, they want AMD to go near bankrupt and so do I, except I want AMD to disappear from the face of the earth and take every AMD fanboy with them.

It's unfortunate that this is happening in terms of competition but frankly, as HornyGoat said, AMD brought it onto themselves by aiming low and sue Intel becasuse of monopoly when "in fact" AMD just can't, again, can't compete in terms of volume and price competition, here, I luv this article: Intel Comes Out Swinging in Response to AMD
Let me quote a few paragraphs:

Remember how overprices those X2 were? So, Barcelona will be way overpriced compared to Q6xx's, so blame it on Intel for AMD's inability to compete, since that they were the ones suing Intel........they got what they deserved.

I'll keep buying ONLY Intel, as I've been doing it, I'm extremely proud to say that I have not and will not ever buy AMD. So, Intel does have a new tech for the 32nm, just in case you didn't know. And nm does matter, because it yields better power consumption and in the case of 32nm, it will bring new tech to Intel.

What? you think AMD didn't team up with IBM and several other companies to come up with better tech than Intel? Ain't nobody stopping AMD from fighting, but themselves and clearly, they can't.

Intel chipsets are the best on the market FYI. Just because you can't slap two (useless anyway) nVidia cards together doesn't meant they are not the best, nForce 4 and 5 were crap, 6 is decent, nonetheless they're still crap and VIA and SiS just didn't compare to Intel's. BTW, it's nVidia's fault that Intel chipsets don't have SLI support, because they can do SLI easy, as they can do CrossFire, except ATI's dual video card is crap compared to SLI.

QFT!, Except AMD it's one of those companies that like to keep they fanboy base happy, except now they can't. They lowered the prices on the overpriced X2s but that didn't stop some non-hard core amd fanboys from getting C2Ds.

Is that a trick question?
C2Ds are by far better overall, even the E4300.

I'm getting me a Q6600!

I'm going for the QX6700 instead of the Q6600.

Unlocked multipliers ftw.

Hmmm....I don't think I would go for the quad core...but that E68__ look pretty nasty. May have to wait till after my birthday to get that thing...but the E6600 Still looks so sexy...and would help my EQ2 addiction quite a bit
