TAT vs. speedfan inconsistencies between cores - Page 3

OK

i have contacted Intel Support by phone, a gentleman (who was very very hard to understand) will be in touch with me today in response to my questions...

not that i don't trust what others are saying...but threw the whole gambit, it seems that nothing is accurate at all..what works for some, doesn't always work for others...

hopefully they give us some good info on this..i'll post when i hear back..

IDK about others, but my bios reads what SpeedFan reads...tho that is impossible to tell really...But my bios reads a few C's above what SpeedFan reads booted at idle...But i hear that the Bios will run a little hotter than a booted system at idle...

i guess what i am confused about is how to determine if you have an 80c ro 100c cpu.....and that thread only talks about quadcores...does the same apply to C2D's?
Yes the same applies to C2Ds you'll just use 85 instead of 100, hence the 15 °C difference. Let us know what the Intel people tell you.
