Safe X1950XT temps?

Thread Starter
The Core 2 Duo rig is up and running, in fact, I type to you all from it now!

I want to know what safe temps are for the X1950XT. I am very, very anal about things running cool. I am using ATITool's dynamic fan setup, this is my current set of temp/fan settings:

Above 0 - 27%
Above 25 - 32%
Above 35 - 41%
Above 40 - 50%
Above 45 - 59%
Above 50 - 82%
Above 55 - 100%

I know these are wildly high fan settings, but I like things running cool.

I am messing with minor OCing, but really, I think this does whatever I want it to at my current speed for it.

Current OC:

Core: 621
Memory: 900

Idle: 46
Load: 60ish

The stock fan isn't very loud, and I really don't care about noise. I'm strongly considering going with 100% full time, because really, why not?

P.S.

I have an LCD next to a CRT monitor for dual-display, and JESUS, the CRT is murdering my peripheral vision, I swear I can see it blinking and twitching super fast, it kind of hurts.

LCD ftw!

I added my OC.

This GPU is my first overclock ever, and it's very stable and cool, I could go a lot further but I feel fine here. Maybe if a game really pushes this card I'll OC more.

I added it in the first post:

Current OC:

Core: 621
Memory: 900

Current temps:

Idle: 46
Load: 60ish

Playing C&C Generals at full settings, full resolution, it was running at 49.

I guess either that game isn't very demanding or I have a very good cooler.

Well that overclock is stock settings so congrats lol.

With that fan profile, you might as well run it at 100% full time, but what I would do is have 50% a lower speed for windows, then just have it kick up to 90% at 60c, then go 100% at 65 or something. That would keep your temps plenty cool.

BTW my card does 650/1000 fine, so you got alot more room to go when you start overclocking
