My 3Dmark06 score (first timer)

Thread Starter
Well I e-mailed Chozart my file since I couldn't figure out how to view it, and here's what he sent me back-

3DMark Score 10489 3DMarks
SM2.0 Score 4948
HDR/SM3.0 Score 4904
CPU Score 2280
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 41.01663971 FPS
GT2 - Firefly Forest 41.44960403 FPS
CPU1 - Red Valley 0.719890535 FPS
CPU2 - Red Valley 1.155379176 FPS
HDR1 - Canyon Flight 45.63659668 FPS
HDR2 - Deep Freeze 52.44739914 FPS

I have no idea if that's good or not, but my system specs are as follows (when I ran the test)-

CPU- E4300 @ 2.6ghz
RAM- 5-5-5-15 @ 950mhz
8800GTS 640mb @ 700mhz/2000mhz

I bet I could do tons better if I had an E6600 and overclocked that, and maybe a better score if I took the time to tighten up the RAM timings or push them further.

Doesn't look too bad. I got 10078 with my CPU and GPU at stock settings.

Thanks man. Now I just need to grab an E6600 or something, and push that to 3.5ghz.

Uh... how did you get such a high OC on that GPU?

He's magic! (He had a thread on it )

You definitely need to push your cpu more, at least 3ghz. I'm surprised the gpu score didn't break the 5k mark especially with a 700mhz core clock. But that is a VERY nice oc

For your reference, here is my 3dmark06 score with my e6600 at 3.5ghz.

It's probably a one of a kind cards. I thought it was a lie too, until I looked at ATITool current clock.

With my rig, I hit around the same score as you. My highest was around 11,020

That's a real good clock for the Core, and an average clock for the Memory... I don't see anything odd about it.

I'd push the CPU more but it's already reporting 55C at TAT full load, so I'm a little worried. I think my best bet is to sell this thing for 100$ shipped and then grab an E6420 or something like that, so I have solder between the IHS and the core rather than thermal paste.
