What is the prefered paste or grease of O/C.net? - Page 5

Coollabs liquid metal, by far. Kinda troublesome to apply, but works better than AS5, at least IMO. If you clean everything(cpu & cooler) with alcohol (at least 92%) and then qtip them with baking soda, wipe very clean, and use another qtip to apply to cpu and cooler, I promise it will go on smoothly every time. Better to remove the cpu to do this tho, as the liquid metal is highly conductive.

AS5.

It's become the "kleenex" of thermal paste.

We don't even call it thermal paste most of the time...just...

"reseat with AS5, and it should go to normal" or... "make sure you wipe off the old stuff and put on fresh AS5."

It's the most reliably tested paste on the market, and it's easily available...and doesn't melt heatsinks...lol
