They claim to have a 500 watt power supply..

But look at the amps that are provided by it.. 50 amps for +5V , LOL, even the megawatt PSUs don't provide 50 amps for +5V, talk about false advertising!

On a sidenote, if you actually tried to get 50 amps outta that PSU, it'd probably explode.

lol you dont even need 20A on the 5V rail...even with the most power hungry PC.
Very nice!

the Silverstone megawatt PSU only gives 30 +3.3 and +40 5.0

These jokers give 28 +3.3 and +50 5.0 to jack up the stats on their crappy PSU (the thing hardly has any cables coming out of it too!)

It's not, look at the pictures of the label on the PSU. It's intentional.

its notfalse advertising

Most psu's hav the ability to supply more power to different rails then there TOTAL wattage supports. Look at your PSU

MOST will have the ability to supply more o certain rils then needed like this. Of course at 50amps you will have only 250watts for everything else

342 / 500 watts on this piece of junk are dedicated to hardly used voltages that need 100 watts at most.

My PSU gives 54 amps to +12V, which is 648 watts, it's rated at 650 max (of course the total load cannot exceed 650), which is a REASONABLE ratio. The PSU linked in the original post dedicates 2/3 of the PSU to supply power that will never ever be used.

(oh, and of course, this is just more evidence you have to look much deeper then the # of watts supplied to determine if a PSU is good or not.. This may be 500 watts, but it is an absolute piece of crap)
