Hello,
Thought I would introduce myself.
I'm fairly new to the forum & like the info to be picked up here, Ive learned allot from here an other forums on the net. I really never planned to be an overclocker but here I am. It started about a year ago, my plan was to buy a shiny new hot Dell desktop to replace my aging one, I actually placed the order for a near top line puter & 24" monitor. After I placed the order, the 6 month interest free financing disappeared, & despite my best efforts & a lot of time on the phone, I wasn't able to get the deal offere by Dell so called & cancelled my order. I decided then to build my own (first time) & started the research, last May I placed my order & built my first desktop (3800 X2). It have been a real sweet running fast desktop & at about half the cost of the one I was going to buy. I ran my rig at stock or near stock speed for almost a year, but just recently started oveclocking & its going well so far. I am up to 2601 MHZ now, don't know if I'll push it too much further if at all. I think I'm getting addicted now, starting to look at a new build, don't need it but you know how that goes.

and ur ram by... ehh .05v(thats what i did...) play around a bit and find a way to be stable..2.6ghz isnt so bad... too bad u shoulda went core 2 duo..but know id say wait for am2+ just to see what else amd has to offer..

Thanks guys, I'm at 289 X9 right now, so am using a 3x multi & everything is stable. Running mem at 236 using divider. I have upped the vcore from 1.35 to 1.45 to get stable at 2.6. I built this rig when AM2 was on the horizion, I'm happy with the 939 for now, my newegg wish list has a nice AM2 6000 X2 all ready to go, willpower is the only thing holding me back.
