Why dont you use IE? - Page 6

Firefox CAN be a memory whore, but even considering that, it definately loads and responds after loading, at least 1-2 full seconds before IE. Not that I care about 1-2 seconds or milliseconds, I find that even if I try, I cannot really make good use of that tiny fraction of time. So, the time thing doesn't USUALLY bother me...except when that small amount of time extends itself into SEVERAL(5+) seconds.. Which often(used to) happen when using IE. Also, I certainly got errors with far greater frequency when using IE, than when using FF.

The reason that I personally use Firefox over Internet Explorer, is for security reasons. Not only for the same reasons as the average user, but...not that I think MS is some sort of evil empire,(not that I would really care if they were), but I just don't trust IE, or MS. On several levels...one being that...ummm, I ...uh..ahem, am still using a corporate "evaluation" version OS. And I can tell you...that over the past 6 years of evaluation, I am starting to find that overall I like this OS

..but yeh, I'll just use FF. Plus the logo is just way cooler...even if it is slower, the flames make it seem faster

Because I <3 Firefox. It's fast, looks nice, is very secure, and I have all sorts of plug-ins to play around with.

Actually, I've just realized, IE does take longer to render websites than Firefox does, by about a second (at least for what I tested -->). I was testing a locally hosted web server. On IE, I click on a link, wait a second at a blank screen, and everything loads. On Firefox, I click a link, and it's there. However, I think this has to do with the rendering engines, and not download speeds.
