Hello

Im planning to build my 1st computer and maybe i can get a better understanding of what i should look at and where i should go.

one question i have on hand what exactly do you look for in a fair priice but great mobo for one thing?

anydirection would help.

not sure i understand the question but browsing this forum will answer alot of questions. Newegg.com is the best place for computer parts on the web and they have alot of good reviews also. hope that helps

A budget would help
With an AM2 system, thne Biostar 550 and a X2 3600+ is a very good and inexpensive OCing setup

Well, in two months, prices will be different from what they are. With that sort of budget, you'll be able to get a very good Intel setup. Now back on topic, you should look for a motherboard that has good overclocking ability and features. I would browse around the forums and hardware review sites before purchasing. I should know, I bought my rig before joining the OCN. I could have bought something way better for the price I paid.

Use $600 and buy the above mentioned TForce 550 setup and X2 3600, along with memory and the other items, then put your $1000 in a mutual fund. You can thank me later.
