New to overclocking, Advice on OCing E6600

Thread Starter
Hi everyone! I'm new to the boards and to overclocking and I've just bought myself a new computer and was wondering whether or not I should overclock my cpu and how far it would be able to go using this setup:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Gigabyte 965P DS3 Pro
2GB A-DATA DDR2 800
Thermaltake Big Typhoon 120 VX

I'm totally new to overclocking so I'm a little worried about trying anything at this stage but I just wanted to know whether the potential increase would be worth it.

Thanks

Just start small, get an extra 10% outta it, you can't possibly go wrong doing that.

I'm concerned about the cpu being a bottleneck for my graphics card. Anybody with similar specs experience any severe performance issues with an 8800gtx using the E6600 at stock?
