BF2142 Crashing on High Spec Machine.

Thread Starter
Hi All.

I've been playing Battlefield 2142 for 4 months now and i've been enjoying it a lot. Recently, the game has been crashing a lot resulting in me having to reset the computer via the switch. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. It worked fine for another few days and again. Started crashing. My system temps in game are CPU : 42 System : 38 GPU : 43 on average. After the reinstallation, i took the side panel off to see if it made any unexpected changes, it worked fine, but this morning, i put it back on suddenly the game crashed. Now my system temps are apparently fine and should not cause any bad problems. Though... my P180b case may or may not be a problem. I really cannot find the cause to my current problem.

I would appreciate it a lot if any one could suggest something for me to resolve this problem. I am also ready to purchase anything that might be necessary. Even as far as buying a new case with more breathing space, but only if my compact Antec p180b case it causing a problem.

Hey,

Sorry for your probs. The only thing I can think of is disable VOIP, it's been known to cause crashes.
Check this site out also.

Good Luck

Unless your on water I highly doubt your card is at 43C. Those temps also seem like idle temps, which don't mean much.

I doubt its a heating problem though, just make sure there isnt dust in your heatsink.

But your temps do seem really low if those are your load temps.. unless your watercooling everything.

Probably is a problem with the game. If all fails set everything to stock if you are overclocked.
