When did RAM get so cheap?!

Wow. I have been out of the game for a couple months and I just checked RAM prices. HOLY MOLEY! Prices are LOW.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145033

These were nearly $400 in september. What news has caused prices to drop so drastically?

Apparently a bunch of IC manufacturers were price setting, and now that they've been caught and punished, the RAM prices are dropping drastically.

Good old collusion pretty much. Samsung, Elpida, Hynix, and Infineon basically made an under the table deal to keep prices super high then got caught.
