Motherboard gone bad?

Thread Starter
My previous motherboard, an Asus A7V333 used to beep when there was an error like no RAM or graphics card. Well I dismantled my old PC which had this motherboard in it and the motherboard doesn't beep anymore when no RAM or graphics card is present.

The mobo's green power LED comes on but there is no display on the monitor with everything plugged in.

The PCI network cards LED also comes on and all of the fans in the case, cpu and gfx card etc spin just fine.

What could the problem be? Has the mobo short-circuited or something?

Thanks.

Ya something in the Bios must have been messes up, it happened to me when I tried to oc... But a Cmos reset would most likely do the trick.

I had a similar problem, and it was due to bad memory.
Try using one stick in the slot closest to the CPU (make sure to try both sticks) or if you have some compatible memory lying around you can try that. Also, you may want to try another video card just in case. If that fails it's probably time to RMA the board, but that's just from my experience.

Hope that helps and good luck,

Iota
