try core temp version .94, for me .95 shows the same temps as TAT, 15c higher, because that temps was tjunction

1.5V seems a tad much for ur oc, mite wanna tune it down a little and it might improve ur temps.

when u lap u should lap the HS as well. Maybe not a much a polish finish but at least flat.

All lapped u better use a more viscouse grease like ceramique or mx-1 or shin-etsu

yes, a proper lapping job really does affect the amount of thermal compound you want to use...use a tiny, tiny amount, you want to be thinking "this can't be right..." voila, lower temps!

because of the lapped, flat surfaces, the surface areas where the compound is spread out is greatly reduced...and the great pressure exerted by the mounting hardware will really spread it thin now...you'll definitely see far worse temps by using a little too much than with non-lapped gear...

1.5V is damn high. I've got my lapped q6600 running @ 1.3250 v @ 9x333. Room temp is 74 °F and idle temps are: 44,46,43,43.

I did get a pretty significant drop in temps from lapping it: see here.

I your HS centered properly and did you use enough or too much TIM?
