VGA ver DVI a little help plz

Alright, I got dual crossfire ati graphics cards. They only have a vga port no dvi, but it comes with an adapater.

I know CRT's are the best but there is no crt with a vga connect, only LCD have them.

I am wanting to get the best gaming monitor out there for my comp but have run into a problem.

Do i go ahead and get the most perfect crt the NEC FE991SB or do I go for a gaming LCD with the vga hook up?

I mean does the vga adapter for dvi make my vga useless or does it not matter and just go for the crt

YES I DO KNOW THIS IS NOT REALLY WORDED GOOD BUT I AM TRYING TO CONVEY THE PROBLEM THE BEST I CAN!!!

CRTs don't have DVI... they all have VGA. The cards come with DVI-to-VGA adapers already. It really does not matter so use whatever you have. For gaming, I would go with a LCD since you can get a nice big size. That 19" CRT probably only 18" viewable area. Get a 19" or 22" widescreen LCD for gaming. Ghosting is no longer a significant issue and you do not care about color scale as much.
Once again...

Yup...

While CRTs are better than LCDs, let's see you get a 20.1" widescreen CRT. That's right, you can't! Lol.

So if you want big go for LCD, not to mention they are more energy efficient

VGA vs DVI = inconclusive pretty much.
From what i know unless you have an extremely big monitor VGA is fine.

On my 20.1" lcd switching from DVI to VGA doesn't make a different.

what im wanting to know is if i should get dvi since my cards are dvi only? even though im using the adapter am i still getting full use of my cards even with the vga to dvi adapter?

I prefer the crt myself, but if i am not getting full use from it because it is not dvi then i want dvi. But if the adapter makes the vga just as good as dvi then im going vga crt
