Hi!
I got problem with silent square mounting frame.
Its on s939 so its hold by 2 screws.
I keep tightening it, but it still keep moving.
Basicly silent square can slide on CPU and gives quite poo contact.
Any ideas how to tighten it?
thx

Sorry, I cant make something up by myself - slept 2 hours today night.

Adding 2 shims did it, now its mounted correctly, thanks for your help!

If it's tht heavy, you may want to consider setting the case on it's side, tightening it down properly and create supports from the HS to the case.

Asus website:
Silent Square incorporated innovative features, including double side fins, easy assembly retention modules and five copper heat pipes, to deliver quiet and high-performance heat dissipation for Intel® Socket 478/775 and AMD™ K8 platforms

Im trying to find some shims to fix it properly, but that will happen tomorrow(its 10.44PM here)
I cant belive that the CPU still works, because PC has traveled over 800 kilometres with that loose mounting frame.

What do you think: will cpu temps become better aswell when frame is tighter?

whoa, 800 kilometres??? I think the best thing is to take the motherboard out and see if the screws/bolts are in correctly and tight it in if need.

Yeah, from capital to my summer home and back to capital/my city home. 400km per trip.

Back plate is mounted correctly, screws go into its holes.
