Need some help with evga step-up

Thread Starter
I want to step up from a 7900gs to a 8800gts 320 meg. I paid 159.99 for the card and it had a $15 rebate. I did not file the rebate. Does this mean that I get 159.99? Also, the gts 320 meg says "backordered". I can still pick it right? And how do I provide newegg invoice? I ordered 3 other things in that invoice and don't even know how to email it.

edit: bought from newegg

1. You get the price minus the available rebates, so you will most likely get $145

2. Yes, you can order a back-ordered card, you just wont send yours in until you get the "A OK" from eVGA to send your old card in when they have one available for you.

3. Go to your account, "order history / print invoice", select your order that has the video card in it. What I did is print it out, then scan the page that had the video card, then I attached it in an email. eVGA will let you know with very nice detailed emails, and will guide you dtep-by step

What if I don't have a scanner? Can I screenshot the email?

I just copy and pasted the invoice into an email and mailed it to them. It worked for my 680i AR RMA and it worked for my step-up from my GTS to the GTX. GL

what do you mean you copy/pasted and emailed it? On evga it says it must be a jpeg image...

and one more thing: The gts in on backorder and I selected it and filed the step-up. It says I have to wait till it's available. But should I give them the invoice now or when they send me another email when the gts is available?

Yeah, I guess that would work, take a screenshot of your invoice, paste it using Paint, save it, then attach it to your email
