DFI infinity NF SLI-M2 or Biostar TForce 550

For an x2 3600+, which do you recommend? The Biostar TForce 550 is cheaper, which is a plus.

(I was recommended by a friend that the DFI board might be good, but he also admitted he knew just as much about AM2 boards as I do, so I thought I'd run it by here. I'd personally still go with the Biostar TForce 550, but second opinions are always good.)

Edit: Between the TForce 550, and the DFI INFINITY NF ULTRAII-M2.

I've heard that the Tforce has problems going over 250Mhz FSB...

When did you hear, that. Many people on this forum use this board and have 300+ MHz FSB

Note: Each card will only run on 8x when SLI.

So, I'd go for this one instead:

Hm. That DFI board comes as a combo with an x2 3600+, putting it at the same price as an x2 3600+ and a TForce 550. And that DFI board looks better than the other one I was looking at before. Does anyone else recommend this board over the Tforce 550. (I'm going to start researching this DFI board a bit myself)

Edit: I should probably note that I have a stick of DDR2 800MHz already...

Get the DFI, I've used all three flavors of their AM2 infinity series and all have a great OCing potential. Their lanparty board is simply amazing.

The DFI performs better! Seen better overclocks with the DFI then the Biostar!

I've "heard" that the DFI motherboard has some trouble recognizing the Brisbane (x2 3600+)

You do need a BIOS update or brisbane.

So may I ask, how badly does the machine function without the bios update? (I'm trying to imagine updating the bios with a non-functioning cpu, and it just don't click)

The system most likely won't be overclocked much. Probably only to a stable, cool OC.
