Maybe these will help you mate:

atiumdag.dll is a Microsoft OS DLL: http://www.programchecker.com/file/25243.aspx

So there's no reason for concern here. Maybe it's logging that the OS has changed attributes inside that file.

Oh my god - I have the EXACT same issues, right down to the specific files in question. I had just found the mfrr1.html and mfrr2.html files on my system while troubleshooting a problem with Windows Live Messenger crashing every time I try to start it up. I was curious what they were about, so googled the rather alarming phrase about upgrades needed for viewing protected content and it brought me here.

Checking the event viewer, I find an event identical to yours except for the file size / date / version on atiumdag.dll - same report of possible hard drive corruption or file tampering, etc.

I also found similar errors on atidcmxx.sys, MSNChatHook.dll, eNetHook.dll, and RtkAPO.dll - don't know if you had any of those too. By far the most frequent error was atiumdag.dll, followed a distant second by MSNChatHook.dll. I guess the MSNChatHook one is likely related to my problem, so I'm off to research that now, but wanted to ask...

...did you ever find out what was happening in your instance, and why? What was the solution if any?

I found this error only occurs when using the Windows Media Player Plugin for Firefox - that is when watching embedded .wmv movies in Firefox.

Did anybody ever figure it out?
