What do you guys and gals think of this Monitor:

Planar PX2611W

If you know of anything comparable in cost, but better in performance please post.

How about a 24" or 27" Dell Ultrasharp.

27" = $1019
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...4&sku=222-7315

24" = $569
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...4&sku=320-4335

Both come with a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

I have the Dell 2007WFP, the 20.1 inch version. I must say I could not be happier with it. The base is super adjustable, the picture is crystal clear.

That 27" Dell is rather nice... 6ms G-G, not too tall..nice.

Definately added to the "possibilities" list.

And you must say its rather good looking as well, makes it nice for LAN parties. Also, I love how you can detach the monitor from the base, makes it very portable. I also just realized it even has a media card reader....

With monitors the bigger the better is my opinion. For around a grand I don't think that one can be beat was $999 on Newegg but is currently sold out. Posted the wrong monitor at first. Edited.

Those are nice monitors, thanks for posting them, but I am looking for something around 24" - 26" WS.

How much room do you have? Are we looking at around 30 inches at the biggest?

the height is the clincher - around 19"....20" tops. The Planar (26" WS) in my 1st post is 18" tall when fully seated.

I may see if I can mount the monitor on a vertical surface....
