with the 900, i cut two holes in the backplate... about 2 by 3.5 in big.. one next to the PSU, and the other at the top next to the motherboard..

i feed every wire back there, and it looks really nice.

one of these days i'll post some pics

For general houskeeping start fresh.

If you are willing to take a couple of hours to do the job you will be very pleased with the results.
  • Unplug the PSU from the wall outlet/surge protector/UPS (no offense...)
  • Unplug all devices and remove all interface cables from the case.
  • Start with the PSU and run the 20/24 pin cable and the 4/6/8 ATX cable first.
  • Run IDE and SATA cables.
  • run fan/sensor cables

From largest diameter to smallest works best for me...

That is a rather glib description, but I think that it will suffice...

Try and keep all excess cable and wire length tucked out of the air-flow path and away from high-heat sources.

Using zip-ties or Velcro straps will keep the wires and cables bundled neatly. Using self-adhesive mounts will hold the bundled wires and cables neatly against an inner wall.

This is an example of what I would consider "Fair".

If you can, you might want to run wiring under the motherboard or motherboard tray if your case is equipped with one. Additionally you could run wiring behind the drive cage(s).

The best thing to do is to cut holes in the mobo tray like Higgins suggested. If you don't have a modular PSU you can stuff unused wires underneath the bottom internal 3.5 bay.
