ORLY? Never had any problems myself.

"Adaware", "Spyware Blaster", "Hijack This", "Spybot Search&Destroy", "cwshredder", and "Avast! Virus Cleaner Tool" are the programs I use and I never have any problems with Malware.

Of course with all this protection you should be using Firefox 2 with the adblock pluggin and a decent filter.

AVG is one of the best FREE virus protection and AD-Aware is the best for spy ware. You can get away with just using ad aware because it searches for both viruses and spy ware

Guys AVG is crap you all know it

Aol AV

Personaly i would never use anything with the name AOL under it but under the hood it's Kaspersky. The reason it's free is because aol subsidises it. It doesn't install any of the aol crap as far as i know and it uses the Kaspersky engine which is second best to NOD32's which i use.

It's actualy debatable which is better NOD32 or Kaspersky.

For spyware i would look into Ad-Aware

There is a new version 2007 coming out June 7th i have it marked on my calender roflao
