Thread Starter
hey guys... im currently running an air cooled system using a silverstone nitrogon NT-06: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835220012

running a p4 650 (3.4) at 4.0 GHz.. im wondering if i can get it any higher on air. im running vcore at 1.425 idle temps at about 41, load at about 55. when i up it to 4.2 i get errors in prime 95.

any suggestions?

Yes, Tuniq Tower 120 with a 650 = 4.42ghz. Load temps 48c.

BTW, "if" t 4.20ghz you can finish 3DMark06 and PCMark05? Then you're fine.

Fudget'bout Orthos or Prime.

It looks like cooling is your issue, you're not going to get much more than 4.1Ghz from that CPU and remain stable. Get yourself a Tuniq Tower, it'll make a good investment if you ever decide to upgrade to a Core 2 later.

My previous Pentium 4 650 @ 4.0Ghz useing Arctic Cooling Freezer 7

My current E6600 @ 3.6Ghz useing Tuniq Tower 120
