with my case it's immpossible to have more inflow than exhaust anyway, lol. 2 rear 120s and 1 front 120...

Well what was said and what was meant were two different things; we are talking about the case as a whole, not specific components airflow in regards to the intake:exhaust ratio.

Though in retrospect, it may not be a good idea as components can get starved of fresh air if the airflow paths are altered poorly, and the optimal airflow ratio will be different for each case depending upon the internal components (if 1:1 cannot be achieved), which is what joe just pointed out.

But see, now you're misunderstanding me. The components inside the case do influence the airflow (air movement) inside. All these things are considered as a whole, not as bits and pieces in isolation from each other.

They influence internal airflow, not airflow in terms of "what goes in must come out", which is what the original post is about. Of course, then you can include things such as dual-slot GPUs and PSUs that also exhaust air, which I think is what you are getting at?

I'd probly venture to say that with a greater in than out sys you'd get pockets of hot air that can't get agitated and pulled out. but a exhaust greater>intake sys has to pull teh air out of the whole case, no matter what. I think i just restated myself, and i'm really tired so i should probly just go to bed
