AMD 4200+ How to OC? - Page 4

I just ran into a bit of a problem, on the website for that cooler the thing is 15.5cm, and it says it needs 19cm of clearance, but I only have 17.5cm between the Mobo and the side of the case. That still leaves me with 2cm, but the CPU itself is about 1cm, so its really only gonna leave me with 1cm. Is this a problem?

no

Varekai- I don't think anyone is going to tell you that it is going to work. That type of stuff is kind of "user discretion". That said, I would have no problem going with 1cm clearance but then again I have had systems that i could not put the side panel on because it would not clear the cooler.
I am not familiar with your case so I can't make the call for you.

airflow from front to back is more important than side to cooler

I removed my "wind tunnel" from side of case to cpu, but installed 2x front 80 mm fans

Here are my temps:

I dont mind the 1cm gap, I know I can still get the case closed, I just wasnt sure bout it being to close to the side to hamper air flow. Do you think this would be better then? Its also gotten great reviews. http://www.xoxide.com/zalman-cnps9500-led-cooler.html

I would get the Tuniq anyways. Wouldn't the height of the heatsink = how wide it is when mounted. The zalman is 122mm high while the Tuniq is 108mm.
