Need help overclocking (QuadGT) - Page 2

Weird. For CPU-Z i'm using 1.3.8.0 and it works OK for me. It may not read correctly while some of the other programs are running. I know TAT doesn't work on this board. I don't think speedfan worked well either. Memset works well I don't use Everest... Should i try it? What's it show?

Alright, now I bumped into another problem. I've got no clue how the FSB strap works. Right now I have it set to 1066, so with my 400FSB it's running 1600Mhz. How do I keep it from running too high? I'm planning to go for 500FSB which will get me 2000Mhz HT, a little too much I think.

Are there anything else I should increase other than FSB, Vcore, and NB voltage? I'm too used to overclocking AMDs.

Dont worry about the HT with these guys. That is fine I ran mine at 500 fsb just fine. You will need to raise the vmch to probably around 1.55 maybe 1.6, get the VTT to 1.4 I think it was. and raise your cpu and ram voltage as necessary.

This board only goes up to the 1066strap so unlike the p5b and similer boards it doesnt change straps at high fsb and gets really good speed.

I would stick with the 9 multi and see how high you can go, try 5-5-5-15 timings for first to see what it can get up too then try tightening up the ram timings to 4-4-4-12 which should be no problem for those guys.

Sorry I didnt get back to this one earlier,
xeon
