not highly improbable (I do hate the thought though...)

They may be fitted unto controller boards that in turn snap unto the mobo.
Who knows.

I just wonder how they will stand up against the likes of Intel's and AMD's chips..

(with regards to computing)

I'm dissapointed with the amount of l1 cache that it has though.
Though it DOES have have bandwidth l2 (albiet, 4Megs)

But you just imagine a chip with ... like 4 MB l1 cache!

AIX from IBM for the POWER6... well or linux or *BSD etc. is also possible. For Suns chips.. Solaris...
