Yes...

7600GT isn't going to go that far.

If you are only playing those two games... just get the 7600GT or maybe 7900GS. The 8600GT advantage is DX10 support, better image quality, and better video if you purchase the PureVideo codec. If money is tight, then the $40 or 40GBP is not worth it. USe the money you saved for 2x512MB or 2x256MB RAM.
Once again...

yes, because you'll probly buy games latter

it'll probly play css and BF2 maxed out with out much trouble
post #5 of 22
7600gt can run bf2 on max settings and max AA + AF as can the
8600gt but i would say the 8600gt is worth the extra £££ neu tech and its DX10
for any future game you might decide to play.
8600gt + 7600gt are both = win! imo
but the 8600gt is the better of the two.
go for the 8600gt

Your computer won't be able to handle bf2 at max, probably medium?

If you plan to transfer the card, get the 8600GT. No, there won't be any bottleneck due to CPU. Can't you overclock the CPU more?

there willl be a bottle neck but you should be ok and get well over 40fps
in both games. Deffo go for the 8600gt though as it will just get even more faster when you upgrade your CPU.
