Undervoltage

Thread Starter
A really hot summer is coming up. Does you cpu get damaged if you set the voltage lower than stock. Im running my e6600 at stock speeds and im trying to run it at the lowest voltage I can for low temps. I currently have it stable at1.3065 from 1.325(stock)

Voltage for 2.4Ghz? What stepping is your E6600, because that will be a big influence. And no it won't do any harm. Personally I can run 2.8Ghz with just 1.175v which keeps it really cool while keeping a 1Ghz OC on the E6300.

No, this is fine but it maybe just unstable. There is nothing wrong with it and is often done with HTPC. This reduces heat and helps to eliminate loud fans for cooling.
