Which Heatsink?

Thread Starter
I currently have a Core 2 Duo E6300. I have heard that if you have a good heat sink that you can get these oc'd a LOT. Right now my processors only at 2.0Ghz. and I want to try and get it up to 3.0Ghz. if possible. At 2.0Ghz it runs around 50C idol and 55 under load. I am willing to spend around $75 and just want to get the best for the buck. I don't know which heat sinks are good and have been known to be good. The ones i have looked at are the Tuniq Tower 120 and the Thermal take Tower112. I think that these look pretty good but honestly, don't know which heat sink to get. I would love to have some recommendations if anyone knows of a better one then the ones I've listed. Please H3lp.

The best one is supposedly the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, followed by the regular Thermalright Ultra-120 and then the Tuniq Tower 120. The Ultra-120 Extreme has a bad finish and could use a lap, so if you are planning on lapping, this heatsink would be the best. It costs about $60, and keep in mind that it doesn't come with a fan.

I'll second the U-120 X. Better yet is a lapped u-120 x and a lapped IHS.
