the thermaltake is 19 dba and ~ 3 cfm the silent x is 14 dba, and 6 cfm... that's pretty tempting. i will go over to frozen CPU tomorrow and ask them what i should do, they are good people there they will tell me honestly.

For the NB, I've heard the posted Thermaltake Spirit 2 is good as well as the Noctua and Thermalright.

I have the thermalright HR-05 SLI and a 20db Hyperx 80x15mm fan on mine, it still pushes like 20cfm of air and the fan is easily replaceable, that's why I went that route. Also the SLI has the ability to slip udner other obstacles, It worked fine with my air cooler, I just had it pointing down.

This is my HS:

and my fan:

and installed:

My MCP temps went from 51C stock to 35C, so they work really well and completely silent.

Nice, that heatsink is good as well, i have it on my other pc. I tryed to lap it and fount out the base is copper .
Dont know if those MOSFET coolers will work well, get some copper ones like these....stuck them on mine and seem to do a good job..

Good choice, you won't be sorry.

Actually now that I've switched to water, I wish I would have had the normal TR cooler rather than the SLI. But either way I like the added air flow from a NB chipset cooler for cooling other nearby components.
