the problem is everything is stretched and fat! LCDs only look good at native res.

There is also a option in Video Settings to run it in Windowed mode

That site gives you hacks for fake widescreens, but it isn't like having it built into the game.

Yes, and Punkbuster won't let you stretch over more than one monitor or fake WS sometimes.

Request regarding online options for those who have the game.
1. is there free online play of any kind pc-pc, xbox-pc, etc? (lan doesnt count)
2. different options for paying to play (which i have heard a lot on) and prices for each package or how it is woked in. (may be able to answer myself on m$ but want to hear from the end user)
3. if not to big of hassle take scren shots of the gfx options available aa/af included in game?

I don't have the game, my friend has it.

1.There is a free silver account you can play online with all the stuff that was in the first halo.

2.There is a gold account you have to pay for and it includes bonuses such as Gold Severs, etc. $50 for 12 month membership. (Similar to an Xbox Live Account, but its called windows live).

3. AA is an available settting in the game. I am not sure about AF, but you can probably set it in Nvidia Control Panel.

Can anyone tell me if it has that online activation thing I read about somewhere? My main gaming rig at home doesn't have a net connection.

I dont think this game looks very different from the xbox version accept for some better effects, and some clarity changes. I am not even going to touch this unless it has widescreen resolutions.
