Or you can get the X1900 GT which is only 120 bucks which murders the 8600 GT.

DX10 has yet to shine. With current benchmarks and such, it still does not give us a generalization of things, so I think a x1950pro is more then good enough to tie you over till better DX10 cards come out, and games for that matter.

You shud get 8600 GT in my opinion they have DX 10 (It will get handy trust me)
And GTS and GTX might be too exspensive so wait till 9900 GTS GTX and stuff come out.
So 8600 GT shud do good for the moment IMO

X1950 pro, There aren't any DX10 games out yet. Go with the X1950 pro then update later to a DX10 card, btw the 8600 is a bit better than a 7600.
