500,000 Point Folding Milestone

Thread Starter
Coming up on 2 months folding and I hit my first 500,000 points. If all goes well I should hit my goal and 400,000 points for this month which will put me on track for 1,000,000 points by the end of next month.

Still fighting with a few uncooperative cores, but must say I am happy so far with how the farm is running.

Congrats, What rigs do you have in that farm ?

The core of the farm is 5 Q6600s. I do have some older systems running single cores that amount for less than 1000ppd between them all.

With the current setup I should settle in to about 16K to 17K ppd once I get some of the hickups worked on and actually stop making adjustments.

Since my wife and daughter will be taking a vacation during the month of july I plan on spending the month building a custom rig that will house 4 more Quad CPU/MOBO/RAM setups. Cant pass up the July 22 price drops.

CyberDruid has a build that inspired me to take on the challenge and I figure it will be a fun summer project since I will be home alone that month.

Congrats Knitelife!!!

I'm glad you're on our team!

BTW - You have officially blown away the previous one folder record of 221,337 points in a month (10/06) set by RonindeBeatrice. However I must admit, SMP's and Quad cores were not around then... and as you stated, the single cores just can't match the point production and point totals of the new generation of processors and work units.

Good luck on your new set up of quads in July. It's always nice to play while the cat is away - LOL. We'll all be watching and waiting...

Take care and Fold On!
