EVGA 590 SLI Board? Anyone with experience?

I know most people are like, "OMG ASUS" or "OMG BIOSTAR", but for my next build, I really want every piece to be cosmetically good. I plan on going with a black/silver case and internals look with red lighting.

To give you an idea of how badly I want everything to match, I plan on sanding, priming and painting the chassis flat black. I'm getting an EVGA card because of the color of their heatsinks (and step up program). I also plan on using an AC Freezer Pro but flat black painting the mount for the fan.

EVGA has the best looking 590 SLI motherboard. (I want to go G80 or G90 SLI in July/August) I'd be willing to go ASUS maybe, their north/south bridge heatsinks are really nice looking and the PCB is a dark color, but Biostar is out of the question. So is Gigabyte. Blue, yellow green and all that, a little too weird for my taste, and you can't really PAINT your motherboard. Well you could, but it'd be a really stupid idea.

So does anyone know how good this board is? I want to stay under $130-140 and $130 for the EVGA is a nice price.

If you're really set on SLI then go with the EVGA or this motherboard here

Have you considered looking at crossfire?

I don't think you read the post lol.

I don't want boards that have hideous color schemes. Red, green orange and yellow are kind of ugly to me. Both of those MSI boards are hideous.

And I don't really want to do Crossfire. Crossfire doesn't scale as well as SLI and until it does, I'd rather not PLAN on going Crossfire. So saying, "Well Crossfire performance should mature more in the next few months" is also out of the equation.

I have the EVGA 590 SLI and I have been very impressed with it. It has a ton of features; dual ethernet cards, 6 sata ports, and a slew of overclocking options. It's a very good overclocker; I was able to overlock my 5600 x2 to ~3.3ghz with an arctic freezer 64. And it is also a very good looking board due to its black and green color scheme.

I have an EVGA 590 SLI with a Windsor 5600 X2. I am very impressed with the motherboard as well. It seems rock-solid stable with tons of settings to tweak. I have only had it a week, so I haven't had a chance to really delve into it.

I haven't done any overclocking yet...like I said, just getting it up and running first.

I only have two complaints so far....

1. PCMark05 shows HDD access at 0.0MB/s. Obviously there is some type of incompatibility going on here as the drive seems to perform VERY well. I've seen this issue on another Nvida motherboard I have as well. Posted a thread at Futuremark about this so hopefully I get to the bottom of it.

2. On EVGA's site, under driver downloads, they don't seem to have downloads for the 590 (NF59). Maybe I'm just blind, but I don't see it. So you're stuck with what came on the CD. I'm not sure if the CD is the latest, or if I should just go to Nvidia and download the NForce platform drivers or what. It would be nice if EVGA had a more comprehensive driver area.

I think it's cute that you're basing your motherboard decision (the most important component in the system) off of a color scheme.

I personally think the DFI Lanparty is the sexiest board ever, but if you want something that would look great with red lighting, what do you think about the Abit Fatal1ty nForce590 SLI? It's red so it would seem as though it goes with red lighting well... I don't know, I use green lights

EDIT: Ah damn, I just read your post where you said that red and a whole bunch of other colors were ugly to you... So I guess go with the EVGA board?
