just look what happened with the burnout series.

Burnout 1, no EA - great game
Burnout 2, no EA - one of the best games ive played
Burnout 3, EA start to get involved - still a good game
Burnout 4, EAtastic - absolute rubbish
Burnout 5, Eatastic - i don't even want to play it.

same happened with the NFS series, all the old NFS games were great, ok EA has always been involved, but as of late, the games have become rubbish. NFSU and NFSU2 were great games, but Most Wanted was crap, then they followed it up with the crashtastic Carbon - and this is easy for 75% of the game, then becomes like 3x as hard, and you HAVE to buy a new car, as the RX7 or whatever you had before is suddenly uncompetetive.

however, i hope EA can make Need For Speed good again - they should lose the street racing stuff, and go back to the old days, of racing really nice supercars that don't even need to be tuned up... would remind me of the many hours wasted years and years ago on Need For Speed Porsche 2000

just my

Edit: now ive watched the video, im thinking oh god, they will make this crap and VERY annoying - probably make you pay for you damage or something... so you never have enough money to pay for upgrades as all the computer is designed to do is punt you

seems like they are trying to turn this in to NFS:Burnout.
umm the underground games where so far away from the NFS image of old its not even funny, also that RX7 wouldnt be to competive to a Hemi Cuda in the real world so why should it in a game?

You mean you couldn't tell from the lame pink tongue face that looks like a little debbie snack cake? Lol

Grain of salt my friend, don't take above posts personally. I actually found the initial exchange of posts between you two quite humorous. Hehe.

When reading up on carbon being a direct port from ps2>>360 i can remember reading a statement made by some EAguy about the 2008 nfs being built especially for the 7th era consoles.(and obv. pc)

with this in mind it looks promising.

nfsu, nfsu2, nfsmw and nfs:c have all been the same really, apart from the spectacular amazing introduction of free roam. same car sounds, same cars, same handling, same graphics.

agreed...

burnout 2 was simply stunning... i played it to death... me and my mates must have completed about 300 races in one weekend round the same track and it never got boring.... an amazing game that is one of my fave games still to this day...

EA pretty much ruined it.... criterion make amazing games and EA destroyed their work of art...
