E6600 Overclock, Cpu-Z Questions

Alrighty well ill start of with my overclock.

i got my E6600 to 2.9Ghz @ 1.25 V-Core

My Idle Temps are 22 - 25c


Load Temps are up two and around 42c

Rember its winter and its pretty ****iing cold ehre lol.




Newayz now to my Question About Cpu - Z

well i jsut downloaded teh new version of cpz (1.40)

and it appears that it is reading my 2.9Ghz OC as 1.9 Ghz ? is anyone else having this problem.

You need to go into your Bios and disable Intel Speedstep and C1E. Your Multiplier will then return to it's default X9 multi

You have something in the bios turned on that lowers the multiplier when the CPU is idle. I can't remember the name for it, but it's like C1E? something like that.

Simple to fix, you should see what I'm talking about if you check out some of the extra features in your bios.
