Black Startup Screen

Thread Starter
I built a new system and installed XP SP2, but after my bios and before the windows xp screen comes up, I get a black screen with white letters that says:
Please select the Operating System
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Microsoft Windows
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight your choice
Seconds until startup 30..29..28

I get this everytime I startup. How can I get rid of this screen so I go straight from the bios to the XP startup screen, which is what I get on my other system?

Right Click My Computer and select Properties. Go to the Advanced Tab and hit the button under Startup and Recovery. Select the one you want to startup with from the pulldown box and uncheck the box to display options for a set time, but not the one when it needs when doing recovery.

Looks to me like you have two partitions with Windows on them.

I've seen that screen before, when I decide to suicide something (completely F something up on purpose) in Windows, so I install a second version for that sole purpose ^_^
