I know I'm surprised how well it holds up, I've pushed my CPU back up to 2.6ghz (seems to be holding up better than last time) and my RAM is running at 216mhz no problem now

So i have been reading these OC guides, and apparently i should keep my HTT as close to 2000Mhz as possible, how do i know what it is at? Is that what this "HT Link" that cpu-z is showing me? If it is, and its only at 880Mhz, is that bad? Or do i multiply by 2 because of dual cores?

*edit*

i seem to have gotten 2640MHz stable (11x240) with 47C under load (Orthos stress test)

If i raise the FSB more, the HTT will go over 2000MHz, so what should my next step be? I have not touched the RAM timings at all. Also, cpu-z is telling me my FSB : DRAM is CPU/14, what does that mean?

Sorry for all the questions i have read numerous OC guides but some of it just does not make sense! Thanks in advance!

The HTT should not go over 1000mhz, not 2000. Christ knows how ur stable with an HTT that high, drop the HT multi asap.

Hang on - how can it be that high, even with a 5x Ht multi, at 240fsb it would be 1200mhz

My HT Multi is 4x and my FSB is at 240Mhz, making the HT Link 960Mhz. I figured you times the HT link by 2 to get the HTT? I ran Orthos stress test over night. 9 hours 14 minutes and no probs so far. Maxed out at 47C load.

ahhh right no as long as the HT link is under 1000mhz you are fine (In fact in most cases you are good up to around 1080mhz)

With that stability and temp you should be fine to keep increasing

So what if i make it to 280 FSB (theoretically), my HT will be 1120, is this when i drop the HT Multi to 3x?

yeah once you go over 250FSB drop it to 3x since 4x250=1000 anything over that you need a lower multi. For example right now I'm on 260FSB, with a 4x multi I would be at 1040, not exactly dangerous but still worth dropping to 3x so that my Ht link is 780. (You wont really notice a performance difference from 1000 to 780, some people think there is less than a 1-2% difference all the way down to 200mhz HT Link

stress testing 2869Mhz
- 260 x 11
- HTT multi @ 3x
- Vcore @ 1.4v

seems to be peaking at 49C on 100% load on both cores

*crossing fingers*

think i can hit 3.0 stable?
