Well Most Laptops Have Intel Graphics and that is clearly Fail.
Some AMD based ones have Nvidia Integrated of ATI integrated Less Fail but fail nonetheless. Well i am in The Market For a Cheapish Laptop That is good with games that can hold me over till the 2nd Or 3rd Gen of DX10 Cards
(Most of todays DX10 cards are fail at actual DX10.) AT LEAST WITH CURRENT DRIVERS.
So im waiting on a full pc.
So ive been looking at Laptops That can Play Games and The Ones ive found will Be Posted Here So This will be my Guide.

What To Think about when Considering a Good Laptop For Gaming.
Well if you are considering getting a laptop for gaming you have many things you have to think about. Things Such as Price,Heat,Size,Battery Life,Weight Ect. All of these generally arent Very big problems on a Desktop but become large problems when you have that on your lap(You do wanna have kids right?) So what are the Positives and the Negatives? The things to consider.

Well some positives are that you can take it with you and play all your games on the Road. you could even get a Wireless Card From Sprint of Verizon and Play Counterstrike in Your Car. Another Benifit i s that you have all your stuff with you constantly and can show people it directly.

But their is well more Negatives.
Starting at Battery Life. Some Gaming laptops are known to only get about 30Minutes MAX of battery life.. Now whats the point of that? Also Cost needs to be taken into consideration too as The higest end Gaming laptop Can cost an Exess of 10,000 IF Fully loaded yet will only be about as fast as a upper midrange Pc (Fastest availible is 2.33ghz 7950GTX sli and that will run you alot of money while being as fast as a e6600 and a 8800GTS 320.
Weight is yet another problem with Good Laptops. They can easily way 9+ Pounds and their are some models weighning in at 15 Pounds. Another Problem is Size MOST are HUEG!!!11oneone
17inches+ Is not Portable in My Mind.. And also heat. 2GPU's Pushing 80Degrees. A Core2 At 70+ Under full load. 4GB Ram.. Not fun to have on your lap.

So wait are you saying not to Get a Laptop?

NO. Not at all. Im just warning about the perils and also The Price/Preformance.Ect. Me i Would like a Not too heavy. Not too Big, Not Slow at all Laptop.. If i had to get any laptop right now it would be the A8js
Its Perfectly Balanced. Not Extreme in anything.
14"
Go 7700
1GB Ram
2.0Ghz Core2
Ect. Fast Yet small and Cheap.

Why don't you write it up first before posting? It is also safer since the interwebs has been known to lose posts.

Got any proof for that comment? So far, there are NO good DX10 games out. The only fail I can see is the games, and not the hardware.

And Intel onboard graphics isn't a fail if you buy a laptop for office work only (not gaming). you should define that also.

IMO a laptop is a bad idea for gaming in general. And in reality, no too many college students actually carry their laptops with them. For gaming, I'd ALWAYS recommend a desktop.

If you have more than $1500 to spend, get the cheapest laptop you can and invest the rest in your gaming rig. That's my opinion.
