Hello I have been reading the overclock guide and other posts for awhile now. I recently overclocked my comp for the first time and was wondering if anyone has any pointers for me.

AMD 3400+ Stock 2.2 Ghz OC @2.42Ghz runs 50C under full load for long period
VCore=1.56
BUS=220MHz with multiplier at x11 (stock multiplier)
HT link= 880 MHz (800MhZ @ stock, I'm not too sure about this value whether it is too high or not)
2x512 GB RAM DDR400 @ 220MHz

I am not too sure if I should back down anything. I mostly play online games (CSS/BF2) and I was also wondering if it was better to have a greater FSB with lower cpu by lowering multiplier or just having slightly higher FSB with stock multiplier. Im not looking for the ultimate machine here.

As far as greater FSB vs higher multiplier it really makes little difference. Just go with which one gives you the highest overclock. What kind of ram do you have? If it is cheaper stuff it will probably be the first thing to hold back your overclock.

I have Kingston 2x512 DDR400. It's nothing special. Are temperatures around 55C to high? I mean everything is running stable at the moment but I am just somewhat concerned. I have not changed my RAM timings either, everything is at AUTO. Will I see an improvement if I do change the timings?

The HT speed is fine whether it be a 754/939 or AM2
My point is, if you had added your "System Specs" via the USER CP" I wouldn't be guessing
BTW, you seem to have caught on quickly, nice work so far!
50c is about the max full load temp, so I'd not recommend anymore vcore increases.
