HP
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66 GHz
2 GB RAM
120 GB HD
7600 GO Nvidia
17 LCD
Vista Ultimate

I brought it so I don't have to unplug my PC all the time and lug it around with me. I brought it to be mobile so i can take it with me as I travel ALOT. I need a computer on the move. Its basically a work computer for storing files and accessing the internet. But I wanted it to be decently powerful.

Could use 2gb of RAM with that Vista, otherwise nice.

Dell - Inspiron 1100
Intel P4 2200mhz (from 1.7ghz celly M from 2.0ghz celly)
256mb of RAM in two sticks, 2.5-3-3-8
30gb 5400RPM HDD
14.1" 1024x768 Screen
Intel graphics, 945i
68w/hr battery, roughly 45% health
Windows XP Pro stripped

I use this laptop for chatting and web browsing while a BF2 map loads. It's not a powerhouse, but it does a cold boot in under 30secs and will do a 70 second Superpi 1M. Not bad for a four (4) year old laptop.

Pictures:

These are the CPUs that have been in it. The numbers on the chips are the Superpi times.

John's laptop:

HP
Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M Processor 2200+ (1.8 GHz) with PowerNow! Technology
256MB DDR SDRAM (1 x 256MB) at 266MHz
15.0-inch XGA TFT (1024 x 768) display
Windows XP Professional
ATI MOBILITY RADEON (M6) 4X AGP and 3D architecture

It may need a little more RAM than that if more windows are going to be open at once. (Or while playing music)

Can you guys rate both my laptops?

The one in my sig (the Panasonic Toughbook) I use when I travel to rugged areas. I mainly use it for doing work, emailing, and entertainment. (It can get boring on camping trips sometimes)

But I almost rarely use it. A friend and I actually co-own it. Since it was so expensive, we both paid half of the price. It is definitely tough though. He goes on trips more than I do, he is a Trailblazer.

I mainly use this as my main system:

HP dv6100t Laptop
15.4" SXGA Screen
AMD Turion X2 TL-50 (1.6Ghz)
1 GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GeForce Go 6150
DVD Burner
Windows Media Center Edition
80 GB Hard Drive

I use it mainly for work, internet, movies, and photo-editing.
