Folding Questions

Thread Starter
Hiya fellas...I just started folding. Literally about last night I started up with the PS3 folding and GPU folding on my sig rig.

Could someone look at my stats and tell me if this looks about right? I've hardly got any points just yet, which is fine, but I've done over 2K WU's. I don't get it. I'm a folding n00b

That's weird, it must be a bug that you have completed 2292 WUs.
Unless PS3s do that for some reason... which i don't think they do...

And yeah your points are fine, it's a gradual thing : ]

*edit*
glad you started folding!

Holy crap, you probably ran into a glitch with either the GPU or PS3 client. Looking on this page, it looks like the problem took care of itself. But for a while you were supposedly submitting 400-500 WUs every 3 hours.

When I first started the GPU client it looked like it was knocking out WU REEEAL fast. Now it seems to have slowed down quite a bit. I dunno.

You should expect ~2 WUs per day with your GPU. Are you running it in Crossfire mode while trying to fold. That surely seems odd.

According to your stats breakout, the points you do have came from your PS3. You have completed 2 PS3 WUs worth 287 points each. The rest were GPU WUs that probably started and instantly crashed, thus giving no points, but then starting on a new WU. Can you look at your FAHlog.txt file and see what messages show up. What GPU client are you running(GUI or Console)?

I'm using the multiGPU client.

According to FAH ATI GPU FAQ:

Quote:
Multiple GPUs are currently supported (see instructions below), but Crossfire is not supported -- Crossfire will make FAH run more slowly than using a single GPU (this isn't a bug as much as a fundamental issue regarding the nature of a Crossfire/SLI type architecture).
There is more explanation on how to set it up correctly with 2 cards, I have only run one card so I cant be more help there. But I do know you need to disable Crossfire while folding.
