Vista Problem #2, DVD drive problem

Okay so its been a long day. Now my DVD drive is acting up, I have the NEC ND-3520A dual layer burner and i have not had any problems with it in XP and Vista til a few minutes ago. I put in my rainbow six vegas DVD into the drive and it kept on spinning and spinning, i looked on my computer and the drive didnt even show that it was reading a disk but on the drive itself the green light was glowing. When i tried right clicking and opening the drive My Computer went into not responding mode and Explorer crashed and didnt come back up until I took the DVD out. The drive is doing those for any media put into the drive. Vista recognizes the drive and says it running fine. I updated the firmware to the lastest and still no luck. I booted into XP and the DVD booted up just fine and I ran the game and was also able to watch a DVD movie. So is this another one of Vista's quirks or am I just stupid.

It is probably Vista.

IMO, Vista isn't fully developed yet. Microsoft is too impatient to wait and let their betas find all of these stupid problems and get them fixed before the final release.

There will probably be a patch or update from Microsoft resolving this issue sooner or later...
