and I'm putting Artic 5 thermal paste on it. Thats waht I'm getting, if you really want to see what I'm getting, I post everything I'll be getting in my shipment.
Model: F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ

With that WC kit you're going to buy, I would say you could get up around 3.2-3.6 with pretty decent temperatures. That will heavily depend on your week/rev, although, because some of the newer E6600s have been awesome, but some have been horrible.

The ram, I wouldn't worry about too much, HZs are pretty solid from what I've read.

3.2 - 3.6 should be possible on good air... so the kit would be a waste of money.

Right now running Orthos on an E6420 at 3.2GHz (new CPU..starting gently), and it loads at 54C

That waterkit will get you higher than that...

yeah i agree, thats a good kit as far as water cooling kits go
edit: man i type to slow, i would say a good stepping would reach 3.8 water, if its bad then 3.5 to 3.6 but it allways varies

Yeah, I'm down for Overclocking, I just don't want my processor, but I'll be able to get a new one for way cheaper if it does die, or something better right?

Only if you're into benchmarking would the SLI 8800GTX's make sense.

For normal gaming.... would you see a difference between 100 and 120FPS? I'd get one now...and add a second later when needed (at a much lower price).

To get a benefit of SLI, you should jump to 24".

and get a better PSU.
Silverstone OP750, DA750, or DA850 and the PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750W are the best candiates imo.

Overclocking doesn't shorten the life span *that* much. I mean, if you have a good stable overclock at, say, 3.6GHz under water with nice temps, I'd say 70% of the normal life span. Since normal is about 10 years, 70% would still be 7 years. Sure you won't replace by then?

For a 22" monitor you really won't need SLI. (

I run my PC through a 40" HDTV @ 1920*1080 and my single card is more than enough. I may go SLI at a later date when games actually require or use it more, but for the time being it would really only be useful in Benchmarks/bragging rights.

(I have a 22" Widescreen TFT too, but rarely use it)
