Dell Inspiron 1300 CPU Upgrade?

Hey gang!

Now that my Acer TravelMate is working just fine (although it could stand to have a Core 2 Duo dropped in), I've turned my attention to my roommate's Dell Inspiron 1300, and the fact that the online community says that the CPU can be upgraded.

Trouble is, his came with the Celeron M 370 (Dothan @ 1.5), so as far as I can tell, we're limited to FSB400.

My questions for the fine folks here are:
1. Is it true that the Inspiron 1300 can be upgraded, preferably to a Pentium M?
2. Is the 533 FSB still an option, or are we indeed limited?
3. Just for fun, can my Acer TravelMate 3252WXMi get a CPU upgrade?

BTW, Dell and Acer are both saying NO on this, but we can imagine why.

Here it says it came with CPUs ranging from a 1.4GHz Celeron M to the 1.73GHz Pentium M, all with a 400MHz front side bus. Heres the link is this the right computer type

Dont think 533 is an option if the same mobo is to be used but that goes by bus so the M is a 400 too.

Thanks for the help - as long as it's on the 400 MHz bus, we shouldn't have too much of a problem. There's a few 2.0 GHz Pentium Ms on eBay, and my roomie wants to snap one up.

Anyone have any opines on my Acer laptop's upgradeability?
