Can this PSU handle an 880gtx

Can a Tagan tg580-u22 580w psu handle one of the overclocked 8800gtxs from EVGA? It has 2 6pin pcie connectors, so I have all the proper cabling, but I don't want to overload my system. You can get a good idea of my current power consumption from my rig in my sig. Thanks ahead of time.

Yes it can, even with your overclocked E6600.

Should be able to. The newer Tagans are pretty decent.

/Shrug maybe I am being retarded but...

This system req. is for the video card itself:

System Requirements Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 28 Amps.)

and the power supply you linked has a max of 20A per +12v rail and a 32A combined.

This is a link to the current power supply I use with my 8800GTS and has served me well for almost 5 months without a problem.

You ALWAYS want to get more than what's required, it's just there in case you need it. And also, the OP asked mentioned overclocking the GPU, which draws in a lot of power than the required specs says. And go for Tagan.

I am not knocking tagan PS's by any means. I was just saying the one that was linked had low amps on the +12v rails and the one I linked had a 37A rating on the +12v which is more than enough even for overclocking but it is only a single rail /shrug.

Edit: Besides if he ever wanted to run 8800GTX's in SLI you would have to upgrade either PS to accommodate the power needs too heh

Oh yeah, I never would expect to run SLi with this PSU, but I managed to find it on sale and brand new for only $90 like 6 months back. Pretty good deal.

EDIT: Oh, I've never been much of a fan of modular PSUs as a PSU that does not have dedicated cables and is modular increases the resistance by quite a bit. Not a worthy trade off for a little extra cable management imo.
